I’ve added new event photos of Logan Lerman with Brandon T. Jackson and Alexandra Daddario at the “Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief” Fan Event hosted by Twentieth Century Fox and Hot Topic on February 11, 2010 in Hollywood.
Just one more day until you can see Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, and Brandon T. Jackson on the big screen as Percy, Annabeth and Grover in the much-anticipated Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief.
The new trio recently chatted with CinemaBlend and sounded off on reading the book before the script and how it really was working with Uma Thurman and Pierce Brosnan. Check it:
Alexandra on working in front of a green screen for most of the time: ‚ÄúIt‚Äôs a little like being a kid again. You get to use your imagination. You can imagine the monster as big and scary as you want it to be. It‚Äôs a lot of fun. It‚Äôs really amazing to see what you imagined brought to screen.‚ÄĚ
Logan on working big name actors like Pierce, Uma and Kevin McKidd: ‚ÄúI‚Äôve always put it this way; acting for me is like a kid walking into a playground and, you know, these great actors like Pierce and Uma and these people that are so seasoned and so talented, they have a huge playground. And going into a scene there‚Äôs so much to explore with them because they have many places to go. So it‚Äôs just a lot of fun to see your heroes and work with them.‚ÄĚ • Read full story »
Nothing quells comic book film casting rumors quite like a torrent of internet articles. Back on February 4th Logan Lerman, star of the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians, made this statement to Access Hollywood regarding his involvement with the re-booted Spider-Man movie:
“It’s just, you know, conversations are starting. It’s a long process with the studio and the producers and everything. But it’s definitely a project that I’m really interested in, of course. I’d love to focus on the human element a little bit more. It’d be such a fun experience.”
This little tidbit spread across the web like a wildfire. Within hours
The Hollywood Reporter released statements from both Columbia Pictures and Lerman’s reps:
” ‘While a wide net is being cast,’ according to a studio spokesman, ‘No offers have been made, nor have any business discussions been made with Lerman.’ • Read full story »
In his role as the star and teen heartthrob of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, which opens in theaters Friday, Logan Lerman vanquishes the Hydra, a multi-headed monster (chop off one head, it grows two), among other heroics.
But at the moment, Lerman has no computer-generated special effects to call upon as a mob of squealing, screaming teens and tweens (mostly girls) surround him in a theater lobby after a preview in Manhattan.
Anxious studio publicists summon a half-dozen beefy security guards, who whisk Lerman off to the safety of a waiting limousine on Broadway.
“That was surreal,” Lerman, 18, starring in his biggest movie role, says later with a smile. “That’s never happened to me before.” • Read full story »

Friday, Logan Lerman‚Äôs poised to become a star in the title role of ‚ÄúPercy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.‚ÄĚ The fantasy adventure is in the Harry Potter [website] vein, only with Greek gods instead of wizardry.
‚ÄúI‚Äôve loved movies and I‚Äôve just always wanted to be in films since I was like 5 years old or so,‚ÄĚ said the Los Angeles native.
Lerman made his film debut in Mel Gibson‚Äôs ‚ÄúThe Patriot‚ÄĚ when he was 7. At 12, he had a turn on TV‚Äôs ‚ÄúJack & Bobby.‚ÄĚ
‚ÄúThat‚Äôs where I started, really,‚ÄĚ he said in a one-on-one interview at Manhattan‚Äôs Empire State Building (which figures prominently in the movie‚Äôs climax). • Read full story »
